Step One, Pair Remote with Cable Box

In order to pair the remote to the cable box, the cable box must be visible for and unobstructed to the remote.
After the initial pairing the cable box can be completely obstructed and still function with the remote.

• Hold the remote control in front of the cable box and press the COX button.
• Navigate to Customer Support and press the SELECT button.
• Navigate to Remote Control Pairing and press the SELECT button.
• With the remote pointing at the cable box, press and hold the SETUP button until the POWER button on the remote flashes twice.
• Press the COX button.
• Enter the three digit code displayed on the screen.
• The screen will display if the pairing was successful.

Step Two, Pair Remote with TV

After the remote is paired with the cable box you can pair it with your TV to use basic controls such as volume and power.
To do so, either download the manual or follow these quick steps:

• Make sure your TV is on.
• Press and hold the SETUP button until the POWER button flashes twice.
• Press the POWER button.
• Press and hold the SELECT button until the TV turns off.
• Test by pressing the POWER button and the TV should turn back on, if not, follow the instructions listed here under “Setup Method C” for direct code entries.
