How to use the printers on 

Scott Campus

For Windows Devices:

To pair the printer:

  1. 1. Open settings and go to Bluetooth & Devices.
  2. 2. Click on Printers & Scanners.
  3. 3. Click “Add device”
  4. 4. Look for “The printer that I want isn’t listed” 
  5. 5. Click “Show Wi-Fi Direct Printers”
  6. 6. Wait for your printer to show up. It will be the most recent printer name to appear.
  7. 7. Click on it to connect.
  8. 8. If it asks for a WPS PIN, the code will be on the printer’s screen.
  9. 9. Type the WPS PIN that is on the printer screen into the textbox on your laptop and press “Next”

To print:

  1. 1. Once the printer is paired, open up the document that you wish to print.
  2. 2. Click on the print icon or press Ctrl + P to open the print menu.
  3. 3. Under destination, select your printer; you may need to click see more to find it.
  4. 4. Once the print destination has been selected, click print.

For Mac Devices

To pair the printer:

  1. 1. Click on the Apple menu > System Settings, on the top left of your home screen.
  2. 2. Then click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar.
  3. 3. If the printer is not already listed on the left, click the “Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax” button.
  4. 4. When you see the printer appear in the list, select it and click “Add”
  5. 5. If the printer is not listed in the list, click on the IP button at the top of the window.
  6. 6. Input the Ip Address of the printer (should appear on the printers screen at the bottom) then click add.
  7. 7. Once it has finished setting up, click the “OK” Button.

To print:

  1. 1. Once the printer is paired, open up the document that you wish to print.
  2. 2. Click File > Print or press Command + P to print.
  3. 3. If the printer is not already selected in the print dialog, select your printer and then print.

For iOS Devices:

To use a printer with AirPrint:

  1. 1. To use AirPrint, open the document that you wish to print. 
  2. 2. Click the share icon at the bottom of the right panel and click where it says “Print.”
  3. 3. Once the print dialog opens, click the “Printer” option.
  4. 4. When you find the printer you wish to use under the list, select it and then press “Print” on the top right.

To use a printer using Wi-Fi Direct:

  1. 1. If AirPrint does not work for you, Wi-Fi Direct is another option.
  2. 2. Open your Wi-Fi settings on your phone under Settings > Wi-Fi.
  3. 3. The printer will come up as a network to connect to. Once it does, press it to connect.
  4. 4. The password for Wi-Fi Direct is “mavprint”
  5. 5. Open the document you wish to print, click the share icon, and then “Print.”
  6. 6. If the printer is not already selected, you can choose it in the “Printer” option. It will be the only one there.
  7. 7. Press “Print.”

For Android Devices:

To use a printer on Android:

  1. 1. Open the document you wish to print.
  2. 2. Select the three dots at the top right corner and press “Print.”
  3. 3. It will search for nearby printers, once the one you want to print to pops up, select it.
  4. 4. Press “Print.”

For Wi-Fi Direct:
The password is “mavprint”
