How do I apply to Scott Court?

Go to housing.unomaha.edu/apply.php and follow the instructions on how to apply via Mavlink.

Be sure to rank Scott Court as your first choice!

Note: For all UNO housing, the application is not COMPLETE until you submit the $260.00 security deposit/lease-processing fee.

How long is the lease?

Scott Court offers two leases types:
1. Annual contract for 12-months which is fall, spring and summer.
2. Academic contract for 9-months which is fall and spring.
*There are a limited number of academic leases available

When can I move in?

The scheduled move-in date for the 2023–2024 lease term is August 13, 2023. If you cannot move in on that date, that’s OK. We’ll help you with your move any time after that. Early move-ins are not available. If you have a special request, please contact Scott Court at 402-778-5641.

Can I request a room or a roommate?

Room and roommate requests are made on your Roommate Request Questionnaire. You can expect your roommate questionnaire to be emailed towards the end of March. All room and roommate requests must match, or we will be unable to grant your request.

Please keep in mind that while we try to honor your room and roommate requests, we cannot guarantee all requests.

When are my payments due?

Housing charges placed on your student account will be viewable early August and due September 23rd for the fall term. Spring charges will be placed in early December and due February 23.

If you choose to pay Scott Court directly in an annual plan, payment in full is due July 1.

If you choose to pay Scott Court directly in a semi-annual plan, payments are due July 1 and December 1.

Why do I begin making rental payments in July?

All residents are required to stay one month ahead on the rent payments. If you stay on schedule, your final rent payment will be due June 1, 2024 for the lease running through July 27, 2024

What are the payment plan rates?

Annual Lease:

Lease Term: August 13, 2023 – July 27, 2024.

  • Annual Payment Plan –$7,920 which is due July 1, 2023.
  • Installment (Semester) Payment Plan – $3,960 per semester, due July 1, 2023, and December 1, 2023.

Academic-Year Lease:

Lease Term: August 13, 2023 – May 18, 2024.

  • Academic-Year Payment Plan – $7,250, due July 1, 2023.
  • Installment (Semester) Payment Plan – $3,625 per semester, due July 1, 2023, and December 1, 20203.

A limited number of academic-year leases will be available, and only on a first-come, first-served basis.

Will I be sent a billing statement?

Billing statements are not mailed out. Please keep a copy of your lease agreement, as your billing dates are listed on the front page.

Where do I get my mail and packages?

Mailboxes are located in the entry area of each building. Residents will receive an email when a package arrives.

Is Scott Court a non-smoking facility?

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is a smoke and tobacco-free University which includes all student housing.

What will I need to hook up my computer?

We provide the Internet. All you will need to bring is your computer.

What size is my bed?

Beds are regular twin size, measuring 37″ by 80″.

Does my bed loft?

Scott Court beds loft as low as 10″ and as high as 34″.

What do I need to bring?

Bring a backpack and school/desk items, laundry detergent and basket, toiletries and towels, bed linens and
mattress pad (regular twin size), trash bin for your room and kitchen, tie trash bags to dispose of waste, desk lamp, living room lamp, alarm clock, kitchen cookware and dishes, and bike lock if you choose to bring a bike.

Discuss with roommates who is bringing: TV, stereo, iron and ironing board, kitchenware and dishes, kitchen towels, and cleaning supplies.

What should I not bring?

Don’t bring halogen lights, weapons or firearms, fireworks, candles, grills of any kind, large nails (we prefer pins or very small nails), waterbeds, pets (except fish, but no tanks over 10 gallons), alcoholic beverages or controlled substances.

Do I need a UNO parking permit to park at Scott Court?

Yes, you can purchase parking permits in the Eppley Administration Building on UNO’s Main Campus.

How do I find Scott Court?

Whether you are coming from the east or west, you take the 72nd Street exit from Interstate 80.
From the east, turn right (west, turn left) onto 72nd Street. Go approximately 1½ miles to Pine Street (first light after the QuikTrip gas station and at Wal-Mart). Turn right onto Pine Street. Scott Court will be located on your right past Scott Residence Hall and Scott Village.

How do I get an access card to enter my building and parking lot?

When you pick up your MavCard, make sure to tell them that you are a Scott Court resident. Your MavCard will be activated to work at Scott Campus upon move-in.

What about meal plans?

Scott Court suites have full kitchens, so residents can prepare meals in their suites. If you’d like, you can purchase a meal plan for Scott Café, right next door.
